Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance Planner II at Turquoise Ridge to optimize maintenance planning and scheduling in a dynamic mining environment. You will drive efficiency using planned, predictive, and maintenance techniques within SAP and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Certificate, diploma or technical qualification in maintenance, scheduling or a related field preferred.
• Some experience in mining, maintenance, operations or planning/scheduling support preferred.
• Solid understanding and applying of MSHA regulations and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, schedule, and coordinate corrective, preventive, and risk-based maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and ensure all routine maintenance activities are appropriately planned (resources, parts, tools/equipment) and scheduled so that work is safely and efficiently completed.
• Aids with planning/scheduling for non-routine planned maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisors to ensure effective use of manpower and materials to expedite maintenance repairs.
• Coordinate with business partners to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved SOW's, invoices are submitted appropriately and review invoices against existing agreements.
• Prepare daily work schedules for the maintenance team using computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests.
• Track work orders, backlog, and schedule progress in SAP.
• Determine the cost involved for parts and supplies for each work order and ensure that such costs are communicated and forecasted accurately to maintenance management.
• Uses a variety of software to complete daily activities such as SAP and MS Office products.
• Develop task and material lists, building activities, review stock level requirements, and coordinate and maintain purchasing/material inventories.
• Prepare work packages to include conditions and constraints, parts list and develop best practices step by step job procedures.
• Communicate/coordinate with all levels of maintenance, operations, purchasing and warehouse staff, and outside vendors.
• Contribute to the delivery of projects, carrying out specified project activities within defined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed project management methodology.
• Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace.
• Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
