Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Mining Engineer to join our on-siteDelta Junction team in Alaska. The role focuses on designing and implementing underground mine designs and schedules, ensuring safety compliance and production targets are met.

You will develop drift and stope designs, build short- and medium-term schedules, and present weekly plans to operations and geology. You will also design ventilation, paste backfill, and ground support, with financial evaluation duties as

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or related field
Current Driver's License.
Must pass a post-offer physical and drug test, as well as a background check.

Responsibilities

Provide, communicate, and implement underground mine designs and schedules in line with safe practices and regulations.
Generate underground drift and fill stope designs.
Create short- and medium-term production schedules.
Present weekly production schedules to mine operations and geology departments.
Establish and monitor mine ventilation network designs.
Establish and implement paste backfill designs.
Establish and implement ground control and support designs.
Perform financial evaluations and cost analyses for operating and capital project justification.
Identify, communicate and assist to resolve safety hazards.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Other duties as required.
