Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking an Equipment and Machine Operator in Ohio. The role involves operating heavy equipment and assisting with underground mine operations, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include hazard detection, equipment maintenance, and labor tasks across day and night shifts. OSHA and MSHA regulations apply; a GED or high school diploma is required or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or high school diploma; experience preferred but not required.
• Must wear PPE and follow OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Ability to read safety rules, operate equipment, and perform basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including haul trucks and loaders.
• Assist with daily mine operations and maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Clean up work areas and ensure safety compliance.
• Work day and night shifts as required.
