Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a heavy equipment operator in Ohio. You will drive trucks with 35+ ton capacity and may operate crushers under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe operation, performing pre-trip inspections, complying with OSHA/MSHA, and working as part of a team at quarry locations. Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Prior heavy equipment experience, including crushing operation, is helpful.
• Wear PPE in designated operations and production areas per OSHA/MSHA.

Responsibilities

• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Operate heavy equipment including Haul Truck, Dump Truck, and Crusher under supervision.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report problems before starting work.
• Work as a team member with other employees to ensure safe operations.
• Assist with general labor and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Maintain awareness of OSHA/MSHA regulations and safety procedures.
