Job summary

Northern Star Pogo LLC in Alaska is seeking a Mine Control Operator to join our underground Pogo operation. The role focuses on communication, coordination and recording of personnel and equipment status to support safe, efficient underground work.

You will monitor ventilation, water inflows and shift communications, ensuring accurate reporting and timely updates to mining and maintenance teams on a 28 days on / 14 days off rotating schedule at a remote site.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in an underground mining environment.
• Experience with radio communications and multi-channel use.
• Desirable prior dispatching or logistics experience.
• Strong communication and adaptability to new procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control ventilation fans and mine water inflows.
• Communicate production and safety updates with shift supervisors.
• Coordinate gear movement between mining and maintenance crews.
• Provide detailed information to mining and maintenance teams as required.
