Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class C Lineman Underground to safely construct and repair underground distribution systems. You may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, and report to the Foreman.

The role involves wiring, troubleshooting, live-line work with PPE, and operating excavation equipment. You will work outdoors, in confined spaces, and during outages or emergencies as required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of recent underground line experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized underground distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors; troubleshoot and fault locate on primary and secondary systems.
• Learn switching and tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage on energized and de-energized lines.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment under supervision.
• Operate and maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling gear).
• Work outdoors in varying conditions including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and storms.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Learn live-line work with PPE and insulated sticks under supervision.
