Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class C Lineman Underground to safely construct and repair underground distribution systems. You may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, and will report to the Foreman.

Essential duties include constructing, maintaining, and repairing underground systems, learning live-line switching, and working with PPE in various weather conditions. Willing to work outages, storms, and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of underground line experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized underground distribution systems.
• Help install and repair underground facilities and conductors, including troubleshooting on primary/secondary systems.
• Learn switching and tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage on lines.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment with supervision.
• Operate and maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
