Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class C Lineman Underground to construct and repair underground distribution systems, both energized and de-energized. The role may require travel to out-of-state sites and reporting to the Foreman. Emphasis on safety and hands-on work with live-line procedures under supervision.

Expect to perform construction, maintenance and repair tasks, operate excavation equipment, and work outdoors in all weather. Availability for outages, storms and emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of recent underground line experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Help install and repair underground facilities and conductors, including troubleshooting on primary and secondary systems.
• Learn switching and tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage under supervision.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be available for outages, storms and emergencies.
• Operate and maintain excavation equipment such as backhoes and trenchers.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and insulation procedures.
