Job summary

Pike Electric LLC seeks a Class C Lineman Underground to construct and repair underground distribution systems. This safety-focused role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, traveling to job sites, and reporting to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining underground facilities, learning switching and tagging, operating excavation equipment, and working outdoors in all weather. Outages, storms, and on-call rotations are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of underground line experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair underground distribution systems, energized or de-energized.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors, troubleshoot faults on primary/secondary.
• Learn switching and tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment under supervision.
• Operate and maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in all weather and conditions; handle outages and on-call rotations.
• Learn live-line work with PPE and insulated sticks under supervision.
• Follow safety protocols and understand insulated protective equipment.
