Job summary

Redpath is seeking an experienced electrician for underground mining operations. The role involves disassembling, assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices to meet specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining ventilation systems, dewatering pumps, lighting, PLC and communication equipment, and underground sub-stations, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Underground mining electrical experience preferred.
• Proficient with electrical drawings and schematics.
• NFPA70E certification required (site location dependent).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, and repair ventilation fans, pumps, lighting and control systems.
• Repair underground sub-stations and install electrical apparatus.
• Fabricate electrical panels and install cables.
• Adhere to maintenance schedules and ensure tools are available and serviceable.
• Work overtime including nights, weekends, and shifts.
