Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking a qualified electrician for underground mining operations. The role involves disassembly, assembly, installation, testing and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures and control systems to meet regulatory standards.

Requirements include 3+ years of underground mining experience, NFPA70E certification where applicable, ability to read electrical drawings, and willingness to work overtime including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• NFPA70E certification (site location)
• 3 years’ underground mining electrician experience
• Proficient with computer usage
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Licensed to drive (if required) and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, test and repair ventilation fans, underground dewater pumps, lighting, electric/hydraulic equipment, PLCs and control systems.
• Repair and maintain underground sub-stations.
• Install electrical apparatus and fabricate electrical panels and cabling.
• Hang 4/0 cable overhead.
• Ensure maintenance per schedule and availability of spares/tools.
• Work overtime, nights, weekends, and shift rotations as required.
