Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking a Journeyperson Lineperson to join our Underground Distribution Construction Department. You will work on installation, maintenance and repair of underground electrical power lines and systems, and respond to service calls related to outages.

The role involves operating excavation equipment, adhering to safety policies, and communicating with property owners. You will be exposed to outdoor conditions and must pass pre-employment screenings,

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely enter and exit excavations.
• Must be able to terminate underground primary and secondary cables.
• Must be able to terminate pad-mounted transformers, secondary pedestals, and meter boxes.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical for a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment used in excavating, backfilling, lifting, and other construction tasks.
• Assists with installation, operation, maintenance and repair of underground electrical power lines and systems.
• Assists with service calls concerning power outages and electrical problems.
• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Exposed to weather, hazards, and noise; uses proper PPE.
