Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineperson to join our team and perform installation and maintenance on overhead distribution lines.

Responsibilities include working from an aerial device, excavating, making primary and secondary connections, and assisting with pole installation, wiring, and sagging. The role involves long hours, travel for emergency storm work, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 4+ years of trade experience required.
• DOT medical card within 90 days of employment.
• Valid commercial driver’s license preferred within 90 days of employment.
• A Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair overhead distribution lines from an aerial device.
• Excavate to assist in installing structures or cables per contract spec.
• Make primary connections and terminations.
• Assist with assembling material on the ground and installation.
• Make secondary connections at transformers.
• Assist with pulling in new wire and sagging.
• Assist with replacing and setting new poles.
• Maintain safe work site conditions and communicate with property owners.
