Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services seeks an Overhead Distribution A Lineperson to install, repair, and maintain overhead distribution systems, including poles, wires, transformers, and switchgear.

The role requires climbing structures, operating heavy equipment, and performing energized and de-energized line work in compliance with safety rules. Will travel for storm-response as needed and join a team supporting field construction and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of heavy equipment and on-site safety procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot energized high voltage systems.
• Ability to climb structures and operate climbing tools.
• Must maintain tooling and equipment.
• Provide proof of work history, schooling and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Setting poles and anchors; stringing overhead wire.
• Install transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms and switches.
• Perform energized/de-energized line work safely.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems.
• Replace fuses and clear faulted circuits.
• Test and inspect tools/equipment daily for safety.
• Report injuries/near misses to Foreperson.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
