Job summary

SolPowerlines, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to install, repair and maintain overhead and underground power lines and related equipment. The role progresses from apprentice to journeyman and requires proficiency across all duties.

Expect travel and field assignments with exposure to high voltage work and outdoor conditions. Candidates should have a high school diploma, journeyman experience, CDL A, and certifications such as First Aid/CPR and pole top rescue.

Qualifications

• Requires journeyman level experience installing and maintaining overhead and underground power lines.
• Valid CDL A is required.
• First Aid, CPR and pole top rescue certifications preferred or required.
• Must pass drug, alcohol and background checks, and a physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain overhead and underground power lines and equipment.
• Climb poles or towers using appropriate safety gear and equipment.
• Select and use hot-line tools, transformers, meters, and protective devices as directed.
• Perform line switching, switching causes under load and load checks as needed.
• Inspect lines and equipment for wear and report deficiencies; assist in training apprentices.
