Job summary

Kv Power, Lp is seeking a Journeyman Lineman with thorough technical knowledge of construction and maintenance procedures for electric distribution and transmission systems, safety practices, and ability to respond to after-hours emergency call-backs.

The role includes constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground lines, coordinating work with customers, promoting safety, climbing poles, and working with energized systems up to 115-kV using hot-line tools.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Current first aid/CPR certification.
• Licensed Journeyman Lineman.
• 5+ years direct energy industry experience.
• Valid driver’s license and/or CDL Class A with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with customers and allocate tools/resources.
• Promote safety practices and maintain clean worksites and gear.
• Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
• Climb poles and operate in aerial buckets near energized lines.
• Work with energized underground 15-kV materials and methods.
• Operate hot line tools under energized conditions on 15-kV to 115-kV systems.
• Meet the public and build cooperative working relationships.
• Read and interpret plans and written instructions.
• Work at heights to install equipment or connectors.
• Keep company vehicles, equipment, and trailers maintained and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
