Job summary

Skypace is looking for a sales professional to sell ocean import services to mid-South Metals importers, focusing on Southeast and West Coast gateways. This role offers an uncapped commission structure and a strong incentive program, rewarding successful account management over the first three years.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of sales experience in the freight industry, particularly within non-ferrous metals. A robust knowledge of customs valuation and heavy-cargo operations is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ocean freight sales with verifiable client relationships among mid‐South Metals importers.
• Lane fluency into Southeast and West Coast gateways railed inland to Memphis and Nashville.
• Fluency in non‐ferrous metals freight, heavy‐cargo planning, and customs valuation.
• Fluency in import freight vocabulary (demurrage and detention mechanics, free time at port, ISF compliance).
• Decision‐maker access at two or more accounts.

Responsibilities

• Grow and expand a portfolio of mid‐South Metals importer accounts.
• Track overall account and portfolio performance.
• Partner with procurement and account management teams for competitive service proposals.
• Track attribution in CRM from day one of activation.
