Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Response Driver) in Carleton, MI. The role involves conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring areas, supporting access control, and delivering exceptional customer service with a visible presence.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, being at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles), and completing background checks and drug screening where required.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing guests and reporting irregular conditions.
• Complete required reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.
