Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Security Officer to provide professional security services across the campus. The role focuses on customer-service, safety, and adherence to all policies while patrolling buildings and grounds, responding to incidents, and supporting patients, visitors, and teammates.

The position offers 40 hours per week with day and night shifts, and is eligible for a sign-on bonus based on eligibility. Strong de-escalation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• 1 year of experience in security/public safety or customer service with emergent-situation responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide security with a customer-service approach, maintaining professionalism and compliance with policies.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify hazards, monitor visitors, and assist patients, visitors, and teammates.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and threats; de-escalate and, if needed, use force per training.
• Complete timely incident reports and coordinate with law enforcement as required.
• Deliver security awareness education and liaison with departments and first responders.
