Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Typically 1 year of experience in security/public safety or related customer service.
• CHSO certification within 2 years of appointment; recertification not required.
• Unarmed Guard License (NC) within 1 year; Stop the Bleed cert within 1 year.
• Valid driver’s license; FOID/CCW as applicable.
• Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon use within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with a customer-service approach and uphold policies and training.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor to inspire confidence.
• Patrol facilities to identify hazards and ensure safety; conduct threat assessments and incident reporting.
• Assist visitors with information, directions, and help; de-escalate situations.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders; participate in emergencies and evacuations.
• Document incidents accurately and ensure safety protocols are followed.
