Responsibilities

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach, focusing on professionalism, fairness, and compassion.
• Inspires confidence by presenting a professional appearance and demeanor; complies with safety rules and training.
• Performs routine patrols and inspections to identify hazards, verify safety measures, and manage patient valuables.
• Prevents and responds to workplace violence; handles combative or threatening incidents.
• De-escalates, uses force only when necessary (CEW, handcuffing) and plans for emergencies.
• Coordinates emergency responses for lost infants, fires, active threats; ensures safety of staff and patients.
• Responds to emergencies; intervenes as trained to prevent injuries.
• Investigates incidents on Advocate Health property; documents and reports accurately.
