Job summary

Bon Secours seeks a Protective Services Officer Unarmed at St. Mary’s Hospital to ensure safety and security for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to calls, escort and patrol to deter incidents, and enforce hospital policies with attention to safety and reporting protocols.

Required high school diploma or GED; BLS within 6 months; 1–2 years security/military experience preferred; training in non-violent crisis intervention may be offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical degree preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• 1–2 years security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Proficiency with defensive tools and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and employees via escorts and patrols.
• Deterrence of crime through routine patrols of hospital property.
• Enforce policies (parking, visitation, drug, tobacco) and monitor CCTV.
• Intervene in confrontations and document daily activities.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and law enforcement when needed.
