Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Protective Services Officer (unarmed) for full-time evening shifts at St. Mary’s Hospital. Responsibilities include escorting and patrolling to maintain safety, enforcing hospital policies, monitoring CCTV, and responding to emergencies.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. 1–2 years in security or related fields is preferred; BLS training within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Vocational/Technical Degree (preferred)
• Valid driver's license (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (required within 6 months of hire)
• 1-2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience (preferred)
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training (Required within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, visitors and staff; patrol grounds and mitigate safety hazards.
• Deters criminal activity through routine hospital patrols.
• Enforce policies including parking, visitation, drug, and tobacco policies.
• Monitor security cameras and respond to escalating situations.
• Intervene in confrontations when appropriate.
• Document duties with daily logs and incident reports.
