Job summary

SimonMed in Daly City, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular exams with precision and compassion. You will own image quality, optimize protocols, and review your work before radiologists see it.

You will work in a fast-paced outpatient setting, maintain clean exams, mentor students, participate in QA and continuing education, and collaborate with radiologists and staff.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty required — or registry‑eligible with a clear path to certification
• Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• 1-2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state licensure current (where required)
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
• Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
• Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
• Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN across all three trimesters, small parts, and vascular studies—and own the quality of every image you produce
• Review your own work for diagnostic completeness before it reaches the radiologist
• Manage your own workflow, keep the exam area stocked and clean, and support department operations without needing to be directed
• Explain procedures and confirm clinical history to ensure patient comfort
• Mentor students and new staff; engage in quality assurance and continuing education
