Job summary

SimonMed is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular exams in a high-volume outpatient setting. You will ensure diagnostic-quality images, maintain equipment, and document in real time across PACS, RIS, and EMR. The role values patient empathy, independence, and ongoing QA participation.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen/OB-GYN or registry-eligible with a clear path to certification
• Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state licensure current (where required)
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
• Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
• Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
• Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdomen, pelvis, OB/GYN across all three trimesters, small parts, and vascular studies
• Ensure high-quality, diagnostically complete images and review own work for accuracy
• Maintain equipment and documentation in real time across PACS, RIS, and EMR
• Support department operations and adapt workflows in a fast-paced outpatient setting
• Provide empathy and clear explanations to patients to ease procedures
• Mentor students and contribute to continual QA and professional development
