Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic exams within a fast-paced radiology department. You will verify patient information, capture optimal images, and document results in EMR/PACS while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include patient education, adherence to infection control, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Proficient use of computer systems for data entry and PACS/EMR workflows.
• Strong patient care and communication skills across all ages; English proficiency.
• Ability to use Radiology software packages and adapt to department policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity, history, and exam appropriateness; obtain clinical history.
• Position patients and equipment; optimize images, waveforms, and data.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS; ensure timely reporting.
• Explain procedures to patients; ensure comfort, privacy, and cooperation.
• Maintain infection control and PPE usage; follow department procedures.
