Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses. The role requires strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and Doppler techniques, with proficiency in EMR/PACS and patient communication across all ages.

Typical duties include verifying patient history, maintaining documentation, and operating imaging equipment safely in a clinical setting onsite in the Colorado region.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform ultrasound exams independently to Radiologist standards.
• Experience with breast, vascular, pediatric, neuro, and OB/GYN ultrasound preferred.
• Proficient with EMR/PACS and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and collects relevant clinical history before scanning.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort and privacy.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, including scanners and monitors.
• Collaborates with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and patient care.
