Charlotte Radiology, P.A. is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound scans, ensuring high-quality exams and adherence to standards.

The role involves accurate paperwork, patient care, and collaboration with radiologists, with certifications in RDMS for Abdomen and OB/GYN preferred and RVT a plus. Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, coordinating with PACS/IT, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• RDMS Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications.
• RVT certification a plus.
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Ultrasound experience required.
• Must follow CR departmental protocols and standards.
• Must stay up to date with local and federal licensure regulations.
• Review patient history for pertinent information before procedures.
• Communicate with radiologist or referring MD if protocol needs alteration.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to Ultrasound engineer.
• Must stand/walk for extended periods and lift 50–75 lbs.
• Must have positive communication skills.
• Adapt to new procedures based on patient capability.
• Differentiate artifacts from anatomy and identify imaging abnormalities.

Aufgaben

• Examine orders and verify patient requests; operate ultrasound equipment under physician order.
• Complete paperwork, record patient history, and correlate test results.
• Provide basic patient care and notify nursing staff as needed.
• Operate radiology computer system.
• Monitor supplies and initiate orders or repairs.
• Coordinate imaging distribution with PACS/IT as necessary.
• Collaborate with radiologist on protocols.
