Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology services, seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasounds and support patient care across multiple locations in Plano, TX.

The role requires ARRT/ARDMS certification, BLS/CPR, and the ability to work with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems. Flexible scheduling and opportunities to train others are highlights of the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Minimum ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification.
• Valid driver’s license, when applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification (AHA/ARC). ACLS where applicable.
• 1–2 years ultrasound experience.
• Ability to work across locations and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer ultrasound exams per physician orders and standards of care.
• Demonstrate competency with US equipment and maintain aseptic technique.
• Utilize EMR, PACS, and DICOM for image sharing and interpretation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and team members.
• Train and orient new technologists or patient coordinators as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
