Job summary

Akumin is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and support imaging across multiple sites. You will work under radiologists, ensuring image quality and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of ultrasound experience, ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification, and an Associate's degree is preferred. Travel between local locations, strong customer service, and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of ultrasound experience.
• Certification: ARRT (S) or ARDMS.
• Valid driver's license where applicable.
• CPR/BLS from AHA or ARC.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Administer ultrasound exams as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain quality and sterile technique; ensure probe cleaning.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EMR, PACS, and DICOM for image sharing.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and staff.
• Train and orient new technologists or staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
