Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and established protocols. You will verify patient identity, position patients and equipment, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS.

This PRN, on-site position requires knowledge of ultrasound physics, PACS, patient care across all ages, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure optimal imaging.

Qualifications

• Must have detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy.
• Must read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Ability to use Radiology software packages and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders.
• Verifies patient identity and prior history before scanning.
• Positions patients and adjusts equipment for optimal images.
• Documents findings accurately in EMR and PACS.
• Educates patients about the exam and maintains privacy.
