Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform general and arterial ultrasound examinations under Radiology at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The role requires ARDMS or ARRT certification within 1 year and at least 1 year of diagnostic ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities include producing high-quality images, assisting radiologists, and maintaining patient safety and documentation in RadNet/PACS systems.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification or eligibility with certification required within 1 year of starting.
• ARRT registration is required; certification must be provided at interview.
• 1 year of full-time ultrasound imaging experience in diagnostic ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform general and arterial imaging and produce quality images for Radiologist interpretation.
• Obtains patient history and communicates with medical staff as required.
• Performs Doppler and color imaging and facilitates image transfer via PACS/RadNet.
