Job summary

Alliance Community Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to assist radiologists by performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and producing diagnostic images. The role requires independence, timely patient interaction, and adherence to department standards.

The ideal candidate will hold ARDMS certification or be registry-eligible, maintain licenses, and complete BLS/RQI training. Prior experience is preferred, with strong communication and attention to detail essential for success.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification or registry eligible.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
• Obtain registry license within 1 year from date of hire.
• Ability to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment within the department.
• One year of experience preferred.
• BLS/RQI training required.

Responsibilities

• Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy.
• Properly position patients for high image quality.
• Document medical records in HIS and RIS or department system.
• Review each examination for quality.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies.
• Communicate pertinent information to supervisor or responsible individual.
• Explain exams/procedures to patients and address questions or concerns.
• Interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner.
• Complete and adhere to knowledge gained through annual employee education.
• Maintain attendance standards and adhere to policies.
