Job summary

Cook County Health in Illinois is seeking a radiologic technologist for general x-ray imaging. You will perform radiographs, ensure patient safety, and operate stationary and portable equipment in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting with contrast administration when needed, and ensuring proper documentation and image transfer to PACS. The role requires ARRT, IEMA licensure, CPR, and at least a two-year radiologic tech education.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (must provide diploma).
  • Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registration and IEMA license required.
  • CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Take radiographs following prescribed techniques.
  • Explain procedures to patients and verify identity.
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies; transport patients as needed.
  • Sends images to PACS and enters patient information.
  • Maintain radiation safety and infection control.
