Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Sonographer to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac ultrasound studies. The role requires reviewing patient records, selecting appropriate transducers, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout exams.

Candidates must have an accredited sonography program and ARDMS/ARRT eligible registrations as applicable. Shifts run Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays, and benefits are eligible.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Sonography.
• Registrations and/or certifications may be required per department policy.
• Ability to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and adjust transducers for quality images.
• Identify and label images with patient information and scan location.
• Maintain RSI and billing documentation per regulations.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients throughout procedures.
