Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school with an accredited sonography program.
• No prior experience required.
• Certification expectations within listed timeframes (ARDMS/ARRT/CCI) for applicable registrations.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Reviews patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy and collect necessary clinical information.
• Positioning and adjusting transducers to obtain optimal images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Interprets images and communicates findings to the ordering physician.
• Identifies and labels images with patient identifiers and study location.
• Maintains accurate records in the radiology information system and documents billing codes.
