Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time ultrasound technologist to perform general, vascular, and/or cardiac studies. The role requires reviewing patient records, selecting appropriate transducers, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation of findings.

The technician will operate ultrasound equipment, maintain patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with physicians to communicate results.

Qualifications

• Competency in general and vascular sonographic procedures.
• Ability to differentiate normal vs abnormal findings.
• Proven ability to follow department policies and safety.
• Ability to communicate with patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select transducers for quality imaging.
• Label images with patient identifiers and scan location.
• Document procedures and billing codes in the RIS.
