Job summary

Relation Insurance Services in Fresno, CA is seeking a Risk Placement Specialist to support the sales process, evaluate referrals for UHNW alignment, and manage end-to-end placement. You will negotiate with carriers, prepare proposals, and ensure compliance with insurance regulations while collaborating with sales and service teams.

The role requires a Property and Casualty license, a four-year degree preferred, and 5+ years in UHNW risk placement.

Qualifications

• Property & Casualty License from the state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Preference given to individuals with insurance designations (CPRM, CPRIA, CISR, CIC, CPCU).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience supporting risk placement initiatives in UHNW/Family office.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel; ability to learn new technologies.
• Customer focus, integrity and strong work ethic.
• Understanding of personal lines of coverage.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong, proactive communications with internal/external partners.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the sales process with marketing support to retain and grow business.
• Evaluate referrals for alignment with HNW/UHNW criteria and route to Private Client or Personal Lines.
• Develop renewal strategies based on client risk profiles, market conditions and carrier options.
• Analyze markets, products and coverage options to tailor recommended solutions.
• Manage end-to-end new business placement: preparation, submission, follow-up, and documentation.
• Leverage carrier relationships to negotiate pricing and coverage terms.
• Develop and deliver proposals reflecting coverages, premiums, and underwriting outcomes.
• Coordinate with sales/service teams to align placement with objectives.
• Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements for quotes and proposals.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new products; adopt innovative technology including AI where appropriate.
