Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to perform maintenance on UH-60 helicopters at Fort Bliss. You will remove and install subsystems, service and lubricate, and prepare aircraft for inspections while following manuals and safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, military technical training preferred, and at least three years aviation maintenance experience including two years on rotary-wing platforms. Travel and passport eligibility may be required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
US military technical school or specialized training is desired; certification of education level is required.
Valid Driver’s License.
A&P license (optional).
Must have three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing, and two years on the assigned MDS.

Responsibilities

Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and flight controls.
Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.
Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
Performs scheduled inspections and assists in special inspections.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft subsystems using required tools.
