Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to perform maintenance on UH-60 helicopters. The role requires a high school diploma and may require US citizenship for security credentials.

Prior aviation and rotary-wing experience is preferred, with the ability to work with maintenance records and logs. The position is based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington and offers competitive pay with health and welfare benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired; certification of education level is required.
• A&P license (optional)
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing experience, two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS).
• Valid Driver’s License; must provide own tools.
• Must obtain/maintain a NACI Public Trust; US Citizenship required for facility credentials.

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies (engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, controls).
• Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Performs scheduled inspections and assists with special inspections.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft subsystems using required tools.
• Maintain records and logs of aircraft maintenance.
