Job summary

Amentum is seeking a UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic I to troubleshoot and repair aircraft structure, engines, flight surfaces, and controls, using manuals, test equipment, and hand tools in a maintenance hangar.

Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing UH-60 experience, and the ability to obtain a US government security clearance are required; A&P license is preferred but not required. You must provide your own tools and meet credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience.
• Two (2) years rotary wing aircraft experience.
• Two (2) years on the UH-60 (MDS) is required.
• A valid up-to-date A&P license is preferred but not required.
• All mechanics must meet FAA requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Security Clearance.
• Must provide own tools/toolbox; tools etched with PID.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Knowledge of UH-60 and military publications is mandatory.
• US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, APUs, and ventilation/heating systems.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures and functional components using tools and equipment.
• Reads and interprets manuals and data to determine repair methods.
• Performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic inspections and other checks.
• Inspects jet engine turbine blades and tests engine operation with testing equipment.
• Maintains maintenance records and verifies work performed satisfactorily.
