Job summary

Radiance Technologies is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support the Test and Training Group in Huntsville, AL. You will bridge engineering and flight operations, designing, building, and piloting UAS used as live targets for DE and kinetic weapon tests.

You will assemble, modify, and maintain UAS platforms, act as remote pilot in command, and integrate sensors and telemetry. The role involves travel and hands-on field operations in a defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on maintenance/field service experience.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a clearance.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Some programming experience (MATLAB, C#, C++, Python).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and maintain UAS platforms to meet target profiles.
• Serve as remote pilot in command for UAS flights during live-fire tests.
• Integrate sensors, tracking aids, and telemetry on UAS platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and analyze live-fire tests.
• Perform pre-flight inspections and post-flight maintenance.
• Maintain flight logs, maintenance records, and documentation.
• Fabricate, assemble, and modify electrical modules and wire harnesses.
• Travel ~25% for extended assignments.
