Job summary

University of Alabama in Huntsville seeks a General Engineer for Aviation Systems to support UAS development and integration of aviation components.

You will develop and maintain integration software and hardware, and assist with testing and demonstrations in a demanding aerospace setting. This role requires US citizenship and knowledge of GIS tools, with Part 107 piloting experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree - preferably in science, engineering, or business.
2 - 4 years of full-time verifiable work experience.
Ability to develop and integrate software and systems in the accomplishment of Aviation and Aerospace requirements.
Experience in UAS development, integration and operations.
Computer Programming Languages for Aviation and Aerospace programs.
UAS pilot using Part 107.
Knowledge and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools.
U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Serve as an Engineer for UAS general development and integration of aviation components.
Develop and Maintain integration software and hardware.
Maintain the configuration of integration software and hardware.
Support program and technical interchange meetings.
Support customer technical interchange meetings.
Support hands on testing of UAS operations and software functions.
Conduct demonstration for customers.
