Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a UAS Flight Test Engineer to plan, execute, and report developmental and operational flight Test & Evaluation activities across US, UK, and Europe. You will join a fast-paced team advancing autonomous capabilities and complex test programs for Group 3 UAS.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 2–5+ years in UAS testing, travel >75%, NAS/UAS regulation knowledge, and TS clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 2–5+ years in UAS integration, testing, and project management.
• Willing to travel >75% to US and overseas.
• Understanding of NAS and UAS regulations.
• Experience with large UAS testing and development.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and technical concepts.
• Ability to organize, coordinate work, and document thoroughly.
• Familiarity with rotary‑wing and fixed‑wing aerodynamics and flight control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
• Willingness to work extended hours.
• FAA Part 107 certificate holder.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
• In this role, you will be subject to pre‑employment and randomized substance screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of Group 3 UAS.
• Deploy to remote test sites within the US, with overseas trials support.
• Participate in weekly stand‑ups and provide progress reports to leadership.
• Develop and execute focused test plans for internal and customer trials.
• Develop and implement baseline safety plans to mitigate risks during testing.
• Communicate effectively within the team and across the organization.
