Job summary

Thompson Gray Inc. is seeking a Senior Datalinks Engineer to support the PM UAS Technical Management Division as the primary datalinks expert.

This full-time, on-site role reports to the Chief Engineer and PM UAS Product Offices, providing technical leadership across the PM UAS enterprise. The candidate will oversee datalink system development, integration, qualification, fielding, sustainment, and modernization, with emphasis on RF, encryption (AES-256), COMSEC, and TRANSEC concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Experience supporting complex technical systems or acquisition programs.
Strong understanding of RF, communications, datalink, or related technologies.
Ability to investigate complex issues and present technical recommendations.
Ability to work on-site with limited telework eligibility and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate a comprehensive UAS datalink strategy aligned with PM UAS objectives.
Serve as principal datalink technical advisor to leadership and stakeholders.
Provide oversight for datalink development, integration, qualification, production, fielding, modernization, and sustainment.
Evaluate RF equipment, antennas, modems, protocols, interfaces, software, waveforms, and encryption concepts.
Coordinate with government labs, industry, and external partners; lead technical working groups and reviews.
