Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a highly capable Datalinks Engineer to support the PM UAS Technical Management Division and serve as the primary division-level technical expert for UAS datalinks. This role requires on-site work in Huntsville, AL, with up to 25% travel and a path to TS/SCI clearance.

The engineer will develop a comprehensive datalink strategy, provide technical oversight across development and fielding, and coordinate with government labs, contractors, and PM UAS stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of RF, datalink, and related mission-system technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a comprehensive UAS datalink strategy.
• Provide technical oversight for datalink development, integration, and sustainment.
• Evaluate RF equipment, antennas, modems, radomes, waveforms, and related tech.
• Lead technical working groups, interface/control boards, and reviews.
• Represent PM UAS in external forums and communicate technical/programmatic aspects.
