Job summary

Metric Search is supporting a confidential search for a General Manager to lead the U.S. wind division of an established, market-leading industrial services organisation.

This role owns the division's commercial and operational performance, directing nationally deployed wind-turbine inspection, maintenance and blade-repair services, and building a high-performing leadership team. You will drive P&L, safety, quality and project delivery, develop major customer relationships in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within the wind-energy industry.
• Direct exposure to wind-turbine composite or blade-repair services.
• Experience managing rope-access field operations.
• Proven P&L and commercial responsibility.
• Leadership of geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Willingness to travel nationally about 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership, including revenue, margins, budgeting and forecasting
• Lead the division’s operational performance and commercial growth
• Oversee nationally distributed field-service and rope-access teams
• Maintain the highest standards across safety, quality and project delivery
• Develop relationships with major customers across the U.S. wind market
• Build, motivate and retain a high-performing leadership and technical team
• Identify new customers, service opportunities and areas for expansion
