Shamin Hotels in Richmond Downtown is seeking a Front Desk Agent for part-time shifts. You will warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, and assist with reservations while sharing local dining and entertainment recommendations.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, reliable transportation, and are comfortable using reservation systems. Training is provided; shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays at two brands in downtown Richmond.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and willingness to help others.
• Welcoming personality and clear, professional communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Confidence using computers and learning hotel reservation systems.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy periods.
• Dependability and reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Available for a mix of shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Front desk experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and handle check-ins and check-outs with accuracy and a friendly smile.
• Make, update, and confirm reservations.
• Answer calls and questions about hotel amenities, services, and the surrounding area.
• Share recommendations for Richmond dining, attractions, and entertainment.
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to communicate room readiness and guest requests.
• Listen to guest concerns, help find solutions, and involve leadership when needed.
• Protect guest privacy and follow hotel security procedures.
• Keep the front desk organized and support teammates across both properties.
