Weber State University Davis Tutoring & Writing Center seeks a Tutor - Writing to provide one-on-one academic writing support to students across all disciplines. The role focuses on guiding writers through brainstorming, outlining, and polishing, rather than editing, and aims to build confidence and writing skills in learners.
As a Writing Learning Assistant, you may participate in embedding tutoring support and leading workshops about writing.

This position provides one-on-one academic writing support to students across all disciplines. Rather than editing, the tutor empowers writers to improve their craft at every stage of the writing process, from initial brainstorming and outlining to final polishing. Tutors serve as collaborative mentors, helping peers build confidence and succeed academically while demonstrating strong communication, empathy, and professionalism. The center serves a wide range of writers, so applicants from every major are encouraged to apply.
