Weber State University invites applications for a part-time Tutor - Math (Davis Tutoring & Writing Center) at the Davis Campus in Layton, UT. The role provides one-on-one academic support to math students, helping them build confidence and succeed academically through strong communication and professionalism.

Responsibilities include tutoring consultations, mandatory training, managing appointments, and serving as a Math Learning Assistant as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be a current WSU student in good academic standing.
  • Able to attend required training and certification workshops.
  • Must be able to tutor at the Davis Campus.
  • Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
  • A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
  • Completed Calculus I with a B+ or better, or equivalent course.

This position provides one-on-one academic support to WSU math students. Tutors serve as collaborative mentors, helping peers build confidence and succeed academically while demonstrating strong communication, empathy, and professionalism. Tutors receive required training in effective tutoring techniques.
